I found this bar booth on Craigslist that originated from the old Tied House Brewery in San Pedro Square downtown San Jose. The tech company I worked for was also considering relocating our offices to the very same location this booth came from. Of course I purchased it and converted it to a fully functioning kitchen table. Our company did move into the old brewery location so it seems the circle was complete.
After moving my studio to San Francisco I began sourcing old palettes from my industrial neighborhood to use in a new series of reclaimed wood artwork. I designed a complimentary piece to the bar booth that warmly Embraces all its guests with knowledge and light. The character with outreaching arms is personified with a Mayan mask for prosperity I purchased in Cancun, Mexico a few years ago.
