Description
Together with the gabled part of the ceiling and wall in the master bedroom, the design of these doors create a diamond shape on each wall. Sliding the doors not only open access to the closet, but opens the diamond shape itself.
Back Story
The boards used here were almost entirely from the roof and walls of this very attic. A few were incorporated from other parts of the house. You can see rusted nail holes used for the original cedar shake siding. One board also has impossible to recreate dried sap patina that’s presumably 100 years old from sweating in this attic shortly after these boards were freshly cut.
